TRV or Super Visa for widowed parent and grandparent

Hi - I would like to call my mom and grandmother to visit me in Canada. However, both are widowed and are financially dependent on the kids. There is no property in my mom's name, neither she is employed. However my grandmother has the house in her name. Both have a US visa and have travelled to the US multiple times to visit my sister.
I am a permanent resident in Canada and my husband is a citizen. After consulting someone we were advised not to apply for TRV for chances of rejection. Should we apply for a Super visa for both instead?

Do you meet LICO for the total number in your family? Will your mom and grandmother pass the medical or do they have any health issues? If you do and they are healthy then go for supervisa. They have valid US visas so have a good chance with TRV too.

Thank you for the quick response. I do meet LICO requirements. I was first considering TRV but someone told me that my mom and grandmother shouldn't apply together as they are both widowed, and cannot show strong reasons to go back. I recently lost my father and grandfather and I need them to have a change of scenery, visit me and spend some time with my family here.

I was first considering TRV but someone told me that my mom and grandmother shouldn't apply together as they are both widowed, and cannot show strong reasons to go back. I recently lost my father and grandfather and I need them to have a change of scenery, visit me and spend some time with my family here.

They aren’t applying together as they must have separate applications. So in each application for TRV, they each show their own bank accounts in their own names. If they don’t have bank accounts in their own names with the funds to support their own visit then apply for a supervisa.

Applying at the same time will create concerns that they are both trying to move to Canada. If there is one who you want to travel more than the other than would apply for that person first. If they will only travel together they can submit their applications at the same time.
