We have applied for Canada visitor visa for my MIL from US on 6/3. She is an Indian citizen and currently visiting us. We asked her application to be considered under CAN+ program as she has traveled to US 5 times in the last 7 years. My wife is sponsoring her and provided all the sponsorship documents (wife is US PR with Indian citizenship). Today, we got a notification from Delhi Canada immigration that they are processing our application. We applied online from US. Do you know how long it takes to get visa approved? We are planning to travel in July. Not sure why her application is being processed at Delhi and not in US.
Applications can be processed by any global IRCC visa office.

An online application does not imply that it will be processed by a US/Canada visa office. As the residence address of your MIL is in India (most probably in North India), her application has been directed to NDVO.

Processing times on the IRCC website are estimates. Actual processing will depend on the specifics of the application

Hi,
I want to ask. I am applying the TRV from Doha Qatar. What are the chances to get approval. I am currently working here since 2011.

Try to show ties for qatar and your home country as much as you can.
Make sure you have a good bank statement.
Show proof that you’ll definitely return to qatar

You're welcome :)

You can travel anytime as long as your TRV is valid. No time restrictions for the first entry

My parents visitor visa file is still in process. I have applied their files on 17 Jan 2018. They had visited Canada 2-3 times earlier. My father was in police so his file is going through BG check. Because of my father.. I think my mother’s file is also delayed. I have recently applied for GCMS notes. What else should I do now? I didn’t get any reply for the inquiries I did for their files. Should I contact MP regarding this? Please please help me out. Every day I check the status but it’s always same. ☹

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do.

Yes, your dad's tenure in the police force and the ensuing background checks are delaying a decision for your mom's application. Your MP cannot help to expedite the decisions. S/he can only seek information on administrative issues/what is the cause for the delay

@Bryanna ?

The mail we got from Abudhabi embassy stating tha the application is in queue for a VO to review was sent to us about 10 days ago .
Reviewing eligibility since 5 days ago.

Why do you think it’s taking so long??
I’m abusing your expertise :)
