They just send original passport req and there is a file attach in which they mentioned about what things are need to send with passport.

Its says the decision has been made on your application. we require your passport to finalize processing your application

I'm pretty sure you can apply for a work permit for him if you are a student. There are plenty of good lawyers in Canada that can help

Where did you apply from? I'm also waiting since November 15th. It might be going through background check. You can send a case specific enquiry on the cic website.

my mom shes in the Philippines. they say the processing time is 15 days but itsa taking so long :-(
