TRV online application TIMELINE?

Online applications are processed by the visa office responsible for your country of residence. It is basically just a week or two faster than the timeline posted for visa offices on cic website. Hope this helps.
 
Hi guys..

According to my VFS global tracker :: my PROCESSEd application has been forwarded to ABU DHABi on 12-05-2014


I have been checking my cic account everyday . It still says app status open and final decision not yet started.

I applied online on 15 April
Biometrics given on 12 may( late because I had to travel to another country to giv biometric)
 
Hi guys,

i have applied visitor visa from NY (online application) on APR 10th and haven't heard anything till date. I had two status updates on 23 and 24th of April which I see no update actually in my cic account.

Last week, I emailed new york office for inquiry and they replied me that my application is open and in queue and if I want to withdraw? (!!)

I have a J1 visa in United States and I will travel canada for a conference on 22th of June. I also submitted an invitation letter from the conference organizer. The thing is some of my friends already got their visa.

I actually got a very quick Canada visa in 2011 from NY office. i don't understand why it takes that long now? Should i worry? Any thoughts?

No need to worry. Search for my post here on why some online visas in the US take few days and others take about 2 months. My "urgent" visa took more than a month. My husband's "urgent" visa took almost 2 months. Your friends got lucky. you still have about a month. You will get your visa on time.
 
I do see know applicants from the forum who applied in april an are still waiting..i m waiting for mine too. so please update us when you do get any update about you application. will be very helpful

I just come back home from work and see the email from the cic requesting my passport. Because post offices are closed now, tomorrow I will send the passports. (I think I should also attach my old passport which includes my US visa)

I will update you about the process.

CIC was specific "send the passport". No room for interpretation here. Send only one.

Are you sure about this? I just got my new passport in March and there is nothing in it to confirm that I am in US.

Congrats!!!! I applied on 30 april and now waiting for it. I am so happy for you. Hope I would get a passport request soon too :)
 
Hi Guys,

Here is my online application timeline:

Application Submitted: April 13, 2014
Biometric Request: April 14, 2014
Sent Email about Biometric: April 14, 2014
Received a reply: April 15, 2014 (ignore the Biometric)
Contact to CIC to expedite the process: May 5, 2014
CIC Replied: May 6, 2014 (I can submit my passport at Canadian Immigration Office abroad)
Received 3 notifications in between April 15, 2014 to May 3, 2014
Received a letter on myCIC: May 13, 2014 (Stating that Biometric request letter was sent on error, so ignore it)
Travel to London, UK without TRV: May 20, 2014
Contacted London Visa Office if they can print my visa: May 19, 2014
London Visa Office replied: May 23, 2014 (Yes, they will print my visa if my TRV got approved)

Not heard anything from CIC yet.....

Now I am waiting for my TRV in London. Sad

Hi, I did it on 3rd april and still waiting.. So worried now...
 
I can understand ur worry.. did u also apply online in Canada? have u sent any emails and did they respond? so far I only had two wmails saying my status has been updated but when I check there is nothing.. I really hope u hear back very soon

ya, i applied online but here i use a representative for my wife's online application. she is in india now?

CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca is the email id..so far i only saw one person who applied on april10 got back a request..fingers crossed u get a response early next week
