TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

I thing Canada seriously needs an overhaul of it's immigration application system. Take the example of Australia: from the beginning till the end, everything is done online, i.e. online submission of documents, receive visa electronically, and no need to send passport to the office.
The least Canada can do is to issue TRV (or even eTA which would be even better) and permits in the same time when we apply for work/study permits inland. The same is done when we apply for Study/Work permit outside Canada. This would save time and money for both IRCC and us.
Interestingly applicants from non-visa countries such as UK, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, etc. automatically get their eTA extended when they apply or extend their immigration permits in Canada.

Completely agree with you...TRV should be extended automatically upon issuing new work permit, I am pretty sure most of us won't mind paying for it as well..don't why they make things so complicated for everyone including themselves

Oh that is good but I was just thinking to send a request for withdrawing my 1st application as I heard that multiplication for the same visa type might delay the overall process. And the review of eligibility not started yet.

My situation is the same. Did you send a withdrawal request for your first application? I was under the impression that IRCC will automatically withdraw the old application and only consider the application made after Sept 7th.

In land application and used tracked express post package from Canada Post to send and receive passport.

Hi everyone!

I think it is time to go for protest!
People who applied between January and March are still waiting for their visas which are based on valid documents such as SP, WP and PGWP.
Me personally waiting for visa since February 19th, eligibility review is not started yet.
I totally appreciated to this country but this country should appreciate me as well since I do my contribution to this country everyday as everyone who comes to Canada.
They want us to to work but how we are supposed to work if we all in depression of not seeing our families which are abroad.

Please like this post if you are ready to go for legal protest. If this post gets more then 100 likes, I will organize everything for us.

They are not withdrawing application right away. It will go through client support center. Client support center will add a note in your TRV application that you want to withdraw your application and if the processing is not started then they will let you withdraw the application. I think you should apply without waiting for old application to withdraw. In your new application just mention that you applied for TRV earlier but didn't get it yet so applying again.
