Ok everybody I believe I am starting to understand what is happening with CIC's nasty politics. I am now 99% confident that CIC is doing this to people who did not submit proof of vaccination (anyone who applied before/during the campain. We are technically applying for a 'visitor' visa. Canada has blocked its visitor visa applications from outside Canada due to COVID, so I believe inland applicants are simply a 'bug' in their system.
They don't know if we are vaccinated, so they won't issue us visas and instead kept delaying the processing times. Now, because they legally can't say that publicly, they've just come up with the "please reapply" so the same people who applied before can now reapply and prove they are actually vaccinated.
Thank you Canada for creating depression, sadness and frustration among your future citizens. What a great country this will be. I guess lucky we have legal weed and opium crisis now to forget about all these problems :)
I know CIC isn’t doing the right thing by delaying so many applications, but im pretty sure vaccination receipts are definitely not the reason for delays. Pretty sure a lot of people have applied for the TRV and got it approved within the last 2 months.

I might be a touch paranoid I admit lol but I've seen so many nasty things from immigration services that I have 0 trust in the system anymore. Every single application I've made ended up going wrong (processing delays, lost documents, 'imaginary delay'...) despite giving all docs and following all guideines.

I am a bit confused now to be honest. I am inland, and applied in March. Should I be reapplying for TRV again and attach vaccination proof? Or do I submit vaccination proof by webform? People who applied in Aug/Sep are now getting their passports, and processing times are down to 130 days now, and I am at >200 days...

I am really just looking for help and direction so I can go see my family...

I know it's frustrating, IRCC is in absolute shambles right now..no communication at all regarding all past applications despite being well past processing times.
Btw, when are you planning to travel?

I have no date anymore, I have delayed my flight 4 times already and lost at least 2k delaying flights, moving apartments due to delays etc. I will leave the country the day I receive a stamped passport.

From what I see in this forum, they have lost track of all applications submitted before July, if you want to travel at least by Jan/Feb, it's better to reapply...

I have reapplied, attaching current employment proof and Ontario vaccination proof.
I have not withdrawn the previous application, but also submitted a webform to send Vaccination proof.

Whatever app gets done first, I'll withdraw the other. I have been waiting since March 8

Thank you for sharing this. I will do the same and hope for the best. Those people are too stupid/high to realize the suffering they are creating. I hope everyone gets their paperwork so we can go see our families.
