TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

Thought I'd share my timeline:

Applied online: May 28
Passport request: June 28
Delivered on: July 4
Approved on: July 9
RETURNING PP TRACKING: July 12
RETURNING PP DELIVERED: NOT YET

Hey guys,

So I received an email requesting my original passport to get my TRV stamped. I sent it on June 23, 2019 and it got to the Visa Office in Ottawa on June 25, 2019. I applied for TRV inside of Canada.

It has been 2 weeks since the day my passport got there and I still haven’t gotten it back, and my flight back home is in 3 days. I can’t check my application status or anything because I had a representative worked on the application for me.

So can someone tell me when I’ll get my passport? Or if anyone just applied for TRV and got their passport back recently, can you show me the timeline? I’d be really appreciate it.

As far as I know, it takes about 2 weeks from the day the passport was delivered to Ottawa. Ask your representative to check the tracking number, they must have it!

You should hear from them soon, I didn’t check my account the entire day so I didn’t see the eligibility status change, I just received the letter.

Try sending them an inquiry through web form specially if you have anything urgent like a trip or something, if you do submit a copy of your plane ticket or something, some people tried that and it worked.

I know we shouldn’t have to do this but it’s worth a shot, you never know

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

Try the web form and send all the information and phone calls too, They keep records of it so sometimes the agent who takes your call would leave a note to the officer, same to the inquiry through the web form. I would do that if I were you.

This is the right form don’t worry about the title too much, as long as you fill in all the right forms provided by the tool in your application then you should be okay. They are behind in processing applications that’s why there’s a longer wait

I just received passport request from CIC.
Submitted application on June 19
Received passport request on July 12.

Hello Everyone,
I applied online for TRV in July 3rd.
Processing time on the CiC website says 7 days.
But until today I haven't seen any update in my profile.
Anyone is in the same boat like me ?

PP request: July 5th
PP Sent: July 5th
PP Delivered: July 8th
Approved: July 12th

PP Return: Waiting for the tracker to get activated..

I applied for a TRV within Canada on June 19. Got the confirmation of receiving my application on June 20th.
I have not heard back ever since.
I called them twice, specially that now the processing times are updated, all I got back from them is that there is no red flags and I should wait.
It is so frustrating, and they have not even started reviewing my eligibility yet!
My friend applied the same exact day 30 mins earlier than me, and he got invited to send his passport in less than a week.
Anyone in the same boat? what do you think?

I applied on the 3rd of July I haven't seen any updated in my profile since then. I'm so worried that I have to travel in mid august and It might take very long for them to answer me back.
I what I don't understand is the fact that they say 5 days processing time in the cic website. It is really ridiculous

I'm even in a worse situation. I still have to apply for a Schengen visa. And won't be able to do so unless I have the Canadian one. Have to travel on August 25..
