TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

Hi,
I just called too the agent told me she can only see working on application received May 18 , then she had to refresh the page and she saw they are working on application for june 1 , she said she put a note down to ottawa that processing time have passed.

Anyone who applied to renew visa in late May and got your passport back? Mine was approved on June 11 and the tracking has not activated yet. I had to cancel my flight and need to go home asap. Tried to call and email them but nothing works. This waiting game is killing me (((

I feel you mine was approved june 14 and still waiting. Why does it take a long time for them to just send the passport back!!! Its sooo frustrating

Did you apply from inside Canada? Because tourists can not get visiting visas from inside Canada they would have to get it from their home countries therefore their explanation doesn’t make sense, if you’re inside Canada I suggest you call again and ask them to leave a note to the officer working on your case to dispatch the passport urgently I read in the forum that someone requested that, it’s worth a shot

I applied from inside Canada and made a case inquiry and called as well. The timeline for TRV is a month plus in total I applied online on May 22, 2019.
I needed my tracker to be activated by latest today because it takes two days to deliver mail to my city from Ottawa.Will have forfeit the amount I paid for my flight to Europe because I didn't pay for insurance and it was booked through Expedia a third party. Based on the timeline they posted I never knew it would take more than a month.

Sorry to hear it.
Although, in my case I am still waiting for a passport request. I applied May 29.
It is so upsetting how do they treat us.
I sent messages to CPC and also web form-no reply.

For me as well, CIC received passport on Jun 11. I do not have visibility of my application. Hope it is approved. Return tracker is not yet activated. Keep us posted if you have any updates.

Yea me too. Missed my brother's wedding Didnt think it would take this long. They should post another processing time for the return of the passport or include it in the posted processing time. Soo frustrating

I can take up to two weeks for your tracker to be activated after your application is approved that is what I was told. I guess it depends on who is assigned your file.

Worst time to apply for TRV is during summer when they have a heavy application volume. The disclaimer applies which states that you should apply three months before you're planning any trip outside the country.

By the way, a week ago they updated processing time tool showing June 2 saying they are working on application received on June 1.
Today, a week later, they updated again showing June 9 saying they are still working on application received June 1.

It can be a glitch or they really have a heavy backlog right now.

I called today asking about my application and the agent said that they might be 3 weeks behind so expect 3 weeks of waiting
