My wife is pregnant and I want to invite my mother-in-law. My father-in-law will not attain her. She will be here only for 2 months. So we are planning to apply for visitor visa, not super visa to avoid the insurance cost. Is there any possibility to cancel the visitor visa?

Can we apply online application?

Please help.

My in-laws applied for TRV (paper-based) on Dec 1, 2014 via VFS-Bangladesh and got the Visa in 2 weeks from CHC-Singapore. Before I list the required docs, I want to brief you a little re: their situation.

Background:
My in-laws visited Canada once before my wife came here as an immigrant. My father-in-law is a professor/physician and my mother-in-law is a housewife. They are well off, own a number of properties and visited many countries (including US and Canada). Initially, my mother-in-law wanted to apply alone in order to stay for 4~6 months during my wife's prenatal period. But when the plan got delayed; I advised them to apply together as they were more interested to be present when their grandchild gets born. Besides, my mother-in-law is financially dependent on her husband (on paper).

Here's what I provided:
1. A notarized invitation letter which looks like an affidavit containing copies of our PR cards (prepared by my solicitor friend)
2. A letter from our family physician stating my wife's due date
3. My current employment verification letter (original)
4. #2 of my most recent pay stubs (copy)
5. My T4 for 2013 (copy)
6. 6 months bank statements (original)
7. Our house possession info (copy)

Here's what my in-laws provided:
1. Required forms + photos + fees + passports
2. My father-in-law's employment verification letter and leave-in-advance confirmation (for 4 weeks)
3. Their bank statements
4. Some of their property docs (copies)

FYI, I did not provide any insurance for them. And they showed in the application that they would stay only for 1 month with us (during delivery). If you want to see their application timeline, here's one of my previous posts: Canada TRV application from Bangladesh - Singapore timeline

Thanks a lot Rossei.

How much it will cost for notarized invitation letter which looks like an affidavit? Can you please send your invitation letter as a sample?

If you have written the letter by yourself, it may take $20~$50 to notarize. But if you want it written by someone else; it may cost more (I don't know exactly). In my case, I gave my written letter to my solicitor friend just to notarize; he changed few things and drafted himself the final copy on which he was comfortable to notarize. I didn't have to pay a dime.

Can you please send your invitation letter as a sample?
Well, I never got the soft copy from my friend; so can't give you one. But previously, I used the followings for my mom's supervisa (fyi, I made same for my in-laws; but this time my friend changed them):
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/supervisa-from-bangladesh-t93529.0.html;msg1778706#msg1778706 (the 2nd one is like an affidavit, I provided both for the supervisa; but for my in-laws' TRV, I provided just one)
