TRV for Post Grad Work Permit

Hi All,

I have a question regarding TRV if someone can please help (I tried searching for an answer on the forum but couldn't find definitive answer).

My study visa is about to expire in the end of September. I believe I need a TRV to re-enter the country after September even if I have a valid work permit. When I try to apply for it online I am requested to fill in a form for Temporary Resident Permit (IMM5708) along with an optional form for TRV (IMM5257).

Do I need to fill in the Temporary Resident Permit form as well? Am I making any mistake in answering the CIC questions?

Kindly help if someone has received a TRV based on their post grad work permit.

I guess you have to fill out that form.
I have applied for TRV with my post grad work permit in my home country and dont remember filling out the 5708.
But based on the form 5708 description "Application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a visitor" and since you're applying from Canada, i think you have to fill out this application.

Temporary Resident Permit are for people who are inadmissible to Canada. This is not for you.
