TRV for parents applied on 30th Mar'17

Hi i have applied for my parents Canada Vistors visa from India through VFS Global hyderabad on 30th Mar'17. Based on the processing time of 19 days i have booked their tickets to canada on 15th May'17. Till date i have not received any update from VFS nor form the consulate (except for forwarded the application to Bangalore consulate). As i was not getting the status update, i have created online account at GCKey and linked my paper application with it. Here when i look at the application status it says "your application is in process" under "details" of final decision column, where as under the "help" of final decision column it is showing as

"We have reached a final decision on your application. If your application is approved, we will send you instructions on what to do next. These instructions will be sent to your account. If your application is refused, we will send you the reason(s) for the refusal."

Can anyone help me in understanding the above?

Current status of your parents' applications: Your application is in process

When this changes to Final decision: Approved/Refused (it indicates closure on the application processing).


When you click on the 'Help' button against 'Final decision', you get the message which you have posted. This does NOT apply to your parents. It is a generic explanation to help applicants understand what 'Final decision' means

Thank you Bryanna for the clarification.

Is there any way to expedite the things like sending the flight tickets through VFS global or e-mail to consulate?

Booking of tickets is not considered scenario for expediting the process. See the below from VAC website :

Emergency processing will only be considered when an unexpected event occurs where the travelling date could not be planned in advance, such as illness or death of a family member. Attach any documents that support your travel emergency. While all will be done to process the application as soon as possible, there is no guarantee that the visa will be issued in time. Note: That requesting a visa without enough time previous to a travel date is not considered an extraordinary circumstance.
