Hello all,

I am applying for my second extension as a visitor in Canada. My TRV expired in July 2014, and I had applied for an extension until Feb 2015. However, we could not complete our paperwork in time so I have to apply for an extension again. Just some quick questions:

1. Under COMING INTO CANADA, Q.1: When it talks about my original entry, is it referring to my first entry on my TRV? or would I state the last date of entry since I have been in Canada and not left?

2. Under DETAILS OF VISIT TO CANADA, Q.2: I have stated that I intend to stay till next year but of course, I am hoping to already have filed my paperwork by then and have my PR (fingers crossed). For funds available during my stay, how much would be a reasonable amount? And do I need to provide any supporting documents/proof?

Thank you so much for all the feedback!

I don't get it, did your TRV expired on July 2014 or your visitor status expired on that date? A TRV can't be extended, a visitor status can. Anyway, that is no relevant for what you are trying to do. Please read more on TRV and visitor status difference so we can help you better.

You need to prove you have the means to sustain yourself in Canada for your whole stay. Bank accounts, credit card statements, proof of income, any or all of that.

Jalex23: Thanks for your response. My visitor visa expired in July so I had applied for an extension of visitor status. I was mailed a visitor record which expires at the end of February hence, I am looking to file for an extension once again. Hope this clarifies. Thanks.
