trv extension rejected options

If my extension is rejected how long can I wait before leaving? Letter says immediately. How long is immediately?

I don't wish to cause trouble, but I could use a week to sort my affairs before leaving. Also, I will be applying for a study permit in two months, so I don't want to jeopordize my record.

If you get a rejection letter you have 30 days in which to leave Canada you could alternatively apply for restoration of status and use this to re-apply for a Visitor Record if the reason they give is something you can fix! It costs $200 for this and has to be applied for as soon as you get the letter!
