TRV extension for kids

My wife just applied for PGWP after receiving her graduation letter last week. I have SOWP and our kids have TRVs (all valid till March 2020).

I can’t apply for extension of my OPW currently as my wife needs NOC A/B job atleast. However, for my children their TRVs need to be extended as it’s a requirement for access to public schools.

My question is: can we apply for kids’ TRVs at this stage?

TRV validity has nothing to do with status in Canada.

As long as their current visitor status is still valid, you can apply for extensions.

One more question on this:
The PGWP is still in process. Since it’s less than 4 months left I wanna apply for extension as visitor for myself and my kids. the question is;
Is it ok? Without my wife’s NOC A, B job I can’t apply for WP.
And is it correct that our applications will be paper based only, no option of online?

You should be applying for an extension so early if your permit and status expire in March.
