TRV Extension approved but approval document not received

Hi,
My TRV extension restoration approved on 20th Aug 2012 as per CIC automated status check by phone. And it says the document has been issued on 20th Aug. But the document is not received in mail and its like 9 days. How long does it take to receive the approval letter from Vegreville to toronto?

hello, i applied for extension and it has been 24days and i didn't hear back from them yet, how did you contact them ?? how long did it take?? thank you

Work permit extension and TRV extension were both issued (for two different family members) on August 23rd (as per the CIC automated telephone) by CVP Vegreville, and both were received in downtown Toronto today. Hopefully you receive it by this Friday.

hey, i tried to call CIC automatic phone number, but they didn't offer me the option of checking on my TRV extension...any help will be appreciated my flight is on September 6th..and i haven't heard from them yet..I'm just worried cuz if they didn't extend my stay I'm gonna end up buying a new ticket to leave...please help

Call 1-888-242-2100, then press 1, then 2, then 6, and then follow the instructions. You will need your Client ID and date of birth to check the status of your application.

thank you so much, but that's what i did, it says application received on February 15th (this is when i applied for TRV) ??????????

That is the date when your previous application was received by CIC (perhaps at a visa office outside of Canada). If it still says February, that means they haven't yet looked at your most recent application. Keep checking everyday, and you will hear the update when they process your application.

i have just checked again and the same thing...it may be because i haven't entered the client ID number on the receipt when i applied for the extension...i didn't even know that i have client ID that's why i left it blank...i just found out recently, do you think it's gonna be an issue ???? thank you

Applied online for TRV Extension restoration: 20th June
CIC opened the application and submitted to Restoration department: 3rd Aug
Approved on: 20th Aug
