Hi everyone.

Here is my timeline for TRV from outside Canada:
Case submitted: Oct. 30, 2023
Biometric: Nov 22, 2023
BVL: 10 Jan, 2024
Eligibility: Completed
Background check: In process
Last update in tracker: 11 Jan, 2024

After receiving BVL, I got no more updates, and I have not get my final decision.
Also, I don't see visa number in my tracker.
Does this mean that my application has been refused?

hi, there’s a backlog. No the application hasn’t been refused. You will only get a visa number. Once they have fully worked on your profile and have made a decision. You just have to wait now patiently. I know it’s hard.

Thank you very much. That was a relief.

My TRV application received an update today 23 Jan 2024, the last update was on 27 Dec 2023 (see my signature for more detail). On application tracker, the "Eligibility" status showing "Completed", while Background check is still in progress. Can anyone give me some idea, how much time background check might take after eligibility check completed ?

Yes, I mailed him on Dec 5 that it's been 67 days and I haven't received any update. His assistant called back the same day afternoon that as per the agent you submitted TRV 3 days after the sponsorship app, and for spouse, TRV AOR is required for which they put your file in a queue until AOR comes.

Then she said that she had requested to put a note on both PR and TRV files for an update and mentioned I should get an update before December 15."We can't request an update, but can expedite it as each application is different ".Lastly, she said, If not received, I will get back to them by December 16.

I explained that I had already missed the festive, not want to miss Christmas and New Year.

Did you get any update? I applied for TRV only for my wife. Called my MP office. They contacted IRCC and apparently, everything on the file has passed and awaiting a final decision. This is taking forever for me and its officially over processing time

Thanks. Why would we need PR AOR if applying for visitor's visa without PR? My MP's office was told the application passed everything and awaiting final decision. Its passed processing time and getting super frustrated now

I have applied 3 days after submitting PR application and requested TRV based on the policy IRCC processing spousal TRVs in 30 days with a 90% approval rate | CIC News.

However, to confirm that PA is eligible under that policy, IRCC have to make sure the PR application deemed complete that's the reason for AOR. But for many, even with AOR, TRV got denied.

You are still within the processing time frame, so relax and have patience. You have already tried all your option. Since eligibility is completed, its just waiting for final review by an officer. You can expect PPR by this week or next. I got TRV on exactly 90th day.

IRCC. They approve visitors visa in a few weeks for others but not for a spouse. I was planning to apply for PR in Canada, but looks like I wont save much as I just lost 1.5 months already waiting for a final review on this TRV. Finger crossed

Yes, right after TRV stamped, I got AOR and biometrics. Just waiting for Portal 1 request for ECOPR. Everything is completed, except BGC.

So my MP office requested an expedited processing as its passed normal prosseing time. Next day I see an update on the tracker saying “ we received the information you sent ……”
I bet it’s just an AI update.
while waiting for this, do you think I should just go ahead and file an outland PR application or should wait and do an inland if the decision comes back as positive?

Seems like you are close to getting a response but no one can tell you exactly when. This weekend is Easter so offices closed. Assume you are on a scheduled break or have approved leave from school.

Hi,
We applied for a visitor visa for my uncle. On the tracker his eligibility was completed on February 14th and now it changed to "not started". What does that mean? Did this happen to anyone?
thank you
