TRV damaged (Study permit holder)

Hi, my friends TRV is damaged -- some ink from passport stamp is on page, and some parts of TRV are difficult to read. The rest of the pages of the passport are perfectly fine, and not damaged at all.

She is currently on a study permit in Canada. Should she apply for a new"temporary resident permit"? Or just send the passport without a separate application on the portal and IMM 5009 (replacement of visa form)?

Any help/insights regarding this would be great, or if anyone has experienced something similar

she has to apply just for a new TVR. maybe, IRCC asks for a new Passport.
