Hello Bryanna, Thanks for the response,

I have two question I would appreciate if you provide Answer,

1) if it normal they don't change any status on the online portal (Submitted to Progress) and directly send email to submit passport? I was under the impression that they will update each and every step of my application on my portal.

2) In my purpose of travel and Invitation letter, it's mentioned that my travel dates will be 21st May to 4th June, 15 days business trip but I don't think I will get any update by 21st May after looking at current processing timeline. Do I want to know that is that ok if I get passport submission request after my decided plan? is it normal if we have to change decided plan because of visa process delay? My wife is also accompanying me and we have also added her NOC letter for leaves during this time frame. So do I need to get another NOC letter if the date gets crossed?

Can you tell me what is the process if above scenario occurred? will it create a problem during my landing and if they ask for this plan change?

You can email the relevant visa office + send a IRCC web form to request for your passport to be returned.

Do include evidence for the US visa interview + you must state that you are not cancelling your application and you will return your passport whenever the IRCC visa office asks to submit your passport

Requesting passport to be returned is it normal, or would this be a super special request?

Updates may/may not be given for each process.

Applicants have requested for their passports to be returned while their TRV applications were being processed. It is normal especially if someone needs to travel to another country or for some other reason.

BTW applicants have received passport requests after their passports were returned. Case: ubfx

You must send a Case Specific Enquiry to the Abu Dhabi visa office. I believe they do not accept emails any more

I just got email notification for an update in my portal with title "Confirmation of Online Application Transmission", is that means my application will be in a stage of evaluation?

It has below message inside,

Hello,

You have successfully transmitted your Online Application on 23 April 2018 02:14:35 a.m. EDT.

Your payment receipt number is # *********.

Let me know now how much time it will take for next update if you have any idea.

It means the visa office has received your online application. You must check the processing updates for the latest status in your online account.

Processing can take any length of time depending on the specifics of the application

Applied Online. Status still says - application in progress. Attached my US Visa stamps. Been here for 15 years now.....
