Hi Bryanna,

No, it was just a short call saying that they sent an email to the account and calling to confirm through phone as well just in case email was not read. No document asked and no reason was mentioned. Brother confirmed that he has received email and he will be there for the interview.

1. Yes previous refusal is declared along with previous file number and reason mentioned on the refusal letter
2. ITRs are slightly higher than the salary as he declared some farm income earned in cash and included affidavit as there was no other formal evidence
3. Yes, employer is legit and in business for over 6-7 years. The designation matches with majority of responsibilities in LOE however, there are couple things that are not usually done by his designation. Its a small business so can't afford to have separate person for everything. Employer denies receiving any verification phone call from CIC
Okay.

Just to be double sure because sometimes the little things matter:
1. Do check the letter of employment was issued on original business stationery + hand signed (not a scanned signature).
Someone I know was once refused a TRV because the Canadian employer used a JPEG version of the logo to print the letterhead!!

2. Property papers (I think he co-owns land, right?) are translated into English by a certified translator + affidavit from the translator, etc

3. Bank statements (dated when he submitted his TRV application + current dated one, roughly the same balance, not drastically less) on bank stationery + hand signed and stamped by the bank + contact information of the bank manager

4. He must re-check all documents just to check it is legit in every way, no gaps, nothing that looks suspicious/incorrect

I suggest:
1. He must prepare two separate files: One with originals. The other with photocopies

2. He must file the documents/evidence in separate sections so that it's easy to find/refer to if asked.

Sections like:
a. Host documents + proof of relationship + proof that he lives with your parents (no other children)
b. Purpose of visit (your wedding) evidence for both Canada and India
c. Finances (ITRs + bank statements + investments + your dad's financial support documents)
d. Employment (employment letter + company registration documents + leave approval letter + letter stating he was paid cash)
f. Property (land + your dad's + how he helps your dad while working in a full-time job)
g. Any proofs why he must return to India by a certain date
h. His previous + current TRV applications + Family Information form

He'll probably be facing two officers at the interview. One of them may just question him, while the other one will observe his body language for any signs of being untruthful.

Like I mentioned earlier, he must answer briefly. Do not volunteer any information that's not asked. Maintain polite eye contact, etc etc.

He could even be asked:
Suppose we don't issue the TRV, what would you do? He must answer that he would be missing the most special day of his only sibling. He must not say that he will reapply again.

I suggest you do a mock interview with him and observe/correct his answers/body language.

He must take his passport + the email which he received. He won't be allowed into the visa office without these two documents

Check: original and hand signed with ink stamp and complete contact information

Check

Check: We have TRV time statements and have told brother to get new ones tomorrow

I agree, we spoke about it today and he will be on it

Followed your advice and he is working on getting to separate folders

Will get it organized using some dividers

I am asking him questions here and there but definitely will plan a mock session. He gets nervous easily. Thanks a lot for your help Bryanna. If anything else comes up please do share with us.

@dr_jatt

He could try some breathing exercises to relax. That could help. He's dealing with people/visa officers who understand that the entire interview/visa office environment can get overwhelming. So don't worry.

I think I've mentioned earlier: He cannot take his cellphone or USB stick inside the premises. He'll have to leave it at the security desk.

If someone accompanies him, that person will not be allowed inside, not even beyond the security gates.

I'll surely let you know if I think of anything else

I've got my fingers crossed for him

Yes you mentioned that earlier. I will talk to him later this evening and let him know.

Thanks again Bryanna

I didn't mention the previous refusal detail in the form. I came to know today morning by thus forum that this detail should be mentioned in the application for but my travel agent didn't ask me about this. I went to Travel agent office and write a letter to canada embassy about refusal detail but it was too late and my passport had been dispatched.

Tomorrow morning i will get the courier if blue dart courier office will not closed because of the call of strike.
