Well if you are applying online just go to CIC website and follow step by step instructions to upload all documents. use the country specific checklist to gather all documents.

Thanks for your response. Actually I mentioned that the expenses will be borne by my parents but they will reside with us. I forgot to attached the tax return. They are from India. My father is still working as consultant and I attached his offer letter. I have all his documents including returns and I have same documents mentioned by you. but not sure should I apply myself or through good agent.

Actually it doesnt matter whether you DIY or seek agent. Again if the agent is a good one he/she will know exactly whats needed. But in both cases follow the country specific checklist and make sure you provide all documentation especially financial.. your and parents, pay slips, bank statements etc... all 6 months
