Hello,

I am a PR in Canada and my girlfriend for 2 years and a half is from the Philippines and we’re currently fixing her application for TRV. We’ve met way back 2018 through a common friend, during that time I am already here in Canada. We do have some proof like remittances every month, chats and long calls everyday. We’ve been together during my visit in the Philippines for a month, plus some other proof to be consider as a conjugal partner. I am just confuse whether to declare her as a “ girlfriend” or conjugal partner in my invitation letter. Thank you!

These proofs of yours are only good if you are sponsoring your girlfriend for immigration. Since you post here in the visitor forum, you just need your invitation letter and the person you are inviting should provide her financial information and other information showing her intention to return to the Philippines by the end of her intended stay.

So just declare her as a “ girlfriend “ in my invitation letter? I’m just worried cause if in case she’ll get denied, we are planning to apply her as conjugal sponsorship. Will there be a problem if I will say she’s my GF in the invitation and then later on apply for a conjugal sponsorship as a conjugal partner? Thanks
