TRV application status

Hi,

We have applied for TRV to Canada online and submitted documents to vfs office in Mumbai on 30th April 2018. VFS Mumbai has forwarded it to Visa processing office in Bengaluru on 1st May 2018. However, till date the status remain that of "processing".
Can anyone tell us how long does it take to get visa..

If you applied online why do you need to submit documents to VFS? If you apply online you only need to submit your passport to VFS after you get visa approval.

We had applied in the normal course.
Not online. We filled the forms online and submitted theem along with supporting documents including tickets to bed.
How do we know the status as we have already booked our tickets for 10th June. 2018.

Make a gckey account and link your paper application to your gckey account. You can also check your status at VFS website i think.

Booking of flight tickets is not recommended before getting visa approval. Its been 30 days which seems like average time for India, so hopefully you should get response soon, but in some cases like i have seen here on this forum 35-45 days also is not out of norm.

We had linked our account to gckey and have been monitoring the status online. My worry is when do we know whether we are getting the visa or not. We were given to understand that it would take 3 weeks to get visa based on which we bought the tickets.

Thats just an average time. Every case is different.
