My spouse got here rejection letter today. here are the reason.
Do you guys think she should apply again for TRV. I was planning to ask her apply for work permit as i am in PGWP.

In making a decision on an application, a number of factors are considered. These may include but are not
limited to:
• the information in the travel and identity documents;
• the reason for the travel to Canada;
• the person’s contacts in Canada;
• the person’s ties to his or her country of residence (including immigration status, employment and family
ties);
• the person’s ability to pay for the trip and to support himself or herself while in Canada;
• whether the person is likely to respect the conditions of his or her admission to Canada;
• whether the person is inadmissible to Canada; and
• whether the person would be likely to leave Canada at the end of his/her authorized stay.
To help you understand my decision, the reason(s) are provided on the following pages.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you application meets the requirements of
the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. Please note that only the grounds that are checked
off apply to the refusal of your application.

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

travel history

Family ties in Canada and in country of residence.

Personal assets and financial status

Thanks

Sorry to hear that your wife was refused.

Like I had suggested in your previous thread, her only strong ties were her Masters degree. What evidence did you submit for this?
Also, what documents did you submit for her financials?

She submitted a letter from her department head about the summer vacation and from registrar office/university too.
I showed $10,000 in my bank account and $4500 in our joint account back in my country.

Seems like those are common reason.
Did you find any special reason?

Another thing,
i don't know why they have written this
"the person’s ability to pay for the trip and to support himself or herself while in Canada;"
I am doing a full-time job and my salary is $3652 per month before tax and i have $10,000 in my bank account. My last year income was $43,000(income tax report submitted when applied).
How come they are saying i can't support her and myself?

Apply only if her situation has changed or she can satisfy the VO's concerns with proofs.
Thanks
Now she is doing masters back in my country so i was thinking this is her strong tie but if graduate then she does not have any tie.
Do you think she should apply for OWP?
Is it a problem that she is doing masters and trying to enter canada with work permit?

Considering your wife's situation, her only strong tie to your home country is her Masters program. She is not employed, no property/assets, financial situation is not strong as you are supporting her (no independent source of income), etc.

The visa officer believes that with you in Canada, your wife will not return to your home country.

You should've stressed more om her Masters program:
A synopsis of her thesis/research, tuition fees paid for the next academic year + scheduled exams/why she must return to complete the program.

Regarding the joint bank account in your home country, does it show transfers from only you?

Yes transfer from me most of the cases. Small amount deposited by her.
I am planning to apply for owp.
Is it a good decision. I saw some people getting OWP after multiple TRV rejection.
Thanks

This shows a weak financial situation as your wife is dependent on you

No negative impact
Thanks a lot.
You have been helping me from the beginning. Appreciate (y)

Okay i will apply for GCMS note then.
I am planning to apply for OWP next time.
Can you share some information about that like
1. what type of documents i need? (i got this list from CIC , IMM1295, IMM5257, Pasport, Proof of relationship, Letter of explanation). Is that all or do i need more?
I mean for TRV i have submitted lots of documents do i need to do something like that?

2. In my application i will say she will join me after her degree completion. in that case do i need to show anything from her university? (processing time is more than 3 months so it will be tough to get a letter from university in advance that she will successfully complete her masters by what time)

3. Is money things works same for OWP. I mean in which account(Me or my spouse) we should show more money?

Can you redirect me to appropriate thread if it is not the right one.

Regards,
