I am applying for TRV for the purpose of short tourism trip ( 4-5 days) in Toronto. I have been living and working in USA for about 10 years.

Ques 1) For box 4- (Name,Address and Relationship of any person or institution I will visit) , should leave it blank , N/A or list the tourist place I intent to visit ? I don't have any relatives or specific people that I intend to visit.
Ques 2) For box 3- (Funds available for my stay (CAD) ), Should I write only the expected amount I am expecting to spend or list the bank balance amount (that will be greater than 50K ), any sample values?
Ques 3) For box 1d- (Have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to assess your proficiency in English or French?)- If the answer is yes and the test was taken 10 years back(TOEFL) , then am I required to send the test result document as well ?

There is no such question in any TRV form. Please make sure you are filing the correct forms.

I have seen these questions before so I think you are on write track but again fill your questionnaire very carefully

For Ques 1: You will write the place you will be visiting/ technically the purpose of your short visit. Lets say you are making a business trip then put the contact info of the company you will be visiting.

Ques2. : For funds you should write the amount you will be bringing with yourself as hard cash may be. If not put something around 12-15k
Ques3: Just write yes, you are not requried to provide the results.

Also as you have mentioned that you have beeen in US froma long time now. I don't think they will even ask you for the copies to prove your your proficiency in English. If you dont mind asking where are you applying form?

Also the make sure you fill the write form I belive it is IMM5257E. In your Questionarie make sure you choose applying from outside Canada and by end it will pop up with the required documents.
As long as you cover letter explains the purpose and your travel history in detail yous hould be good to go!
Good luck.

Hi,

Yes, the TRV application form has the question about the proficiency in English/French in the 'Personal Details' section..... including 'Have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to assess your proficiency in English or French?'

To the OP:
It is not necessary to submit any proofs of your IELTS/TOEFL/TEF/DELF, etc tests (if applicable). If the visa office needs these language test results then you will be asked for it. Generally, it is not required for a TRV for tourism purposes

Cheers

Thanks much for your responses.

let me rephrase my Question no. 1) Under section 'Details of visit to Canada' in IMM5257E, number 4 asks for (Name,Address and Relationship of any person or institution I will visit)---- Since I am visiting only for touring few places in Toronto-like Niagara Falls and Toronto downtown, I do not have any specific names of any relatives or specific people to put in this section, so should leave it blank , N/A or list the tourist place I intent to visit ?

Also will I require to supplement any cover letter for my 3-4 day trip to Canada ?

Blank if you do not have any "Name, Address and Relationship of any person or institution" you will visit.
N/A is not a valid answer.
Tourist place if you have a "Name, Address and Relationship of any person or institution" you will visit.

There is no such thing as a "cover letter" for TRVs.
