TRV Application New Delhi - Submitted July, 2013

Hello,

I submitted my application on 3rd, July in VFS Mumbai and it was received by Canadian High Commission, New Delhi on 5th July and since then my application was in process and today I got an update that the passport has been released and is in Transit.

Passport released by the Canadian High Commission, 7/8 SHANTIPATH, CHANKYAPURI, -, NEW DELHI, Pin:110021, Tel: on 19/07/2013 and is in Transit.

Now my question is: What are my chances as my flight was of 18th July (Yesterday) and I have cancelled my flight on 17th July as there was delay in processing my TRV.

The documents which I have attached with my TRV application clearly shows my purpose of Visit (Exploratory Visit to Manitoba - MPNP) and my interview date with Manitoba Immigration Department is of 1st August.

I have a good travel history as I have visited to some 9 countries. (I do backpacking once a year)

I have good ties to my home country as I am married (My wife is NOT accompanying me) and I have a stable job in India.

My financial is also good as I have shown $6000 CAD in my saving account and credit cards for 15 days (Which is now cut short because of the delay).

So what do you think, considering the current strike situation, Will these/any of the above will cause some problem for my TRV ?

Cancelling my tickets was a bad idea I think ?? Is it going to effect my application ??

VFS Status changed!

Processed Passport received at VFS Canada VAC Mumbai on 22/07/2013. Following documents are required for collection of the Passport:

• Original Invoice cum Receipt
• Passport copy

Note: Should you wish to get your passport collected by your representative, you are required to handover a authority letter duly signed by you along with a photo Identity proof of your representative(i.e. Driving license, Passport, or PAN card).

Will update about approval/rejection as soon as I know

Mine took over 12 working days to get the passport released from the High Commission, New Delhi

I don't know what's taking them so long in your case as its been more working days than mine.

Lets hope its released some time sooner. Best of luck ;D

You guys are lucky. My spouse's TRV was submitted May 23rd and the status is still in processing. Keeping my fingers crossed. Let me know when you get the passport and visa status.
