TRV application in Ottawa

Hi Po,

Will be going back home in the Philippines this December for a month, passport will expire Oct 5, 2013.
If i would apply for a TRV in Canada and planning to renew my passport in the Philippines. would that make a conflict in my going back to Canada?

Hi,

If you're TRV is expired or will expire before December you need to renew it before going home. If not, you can just attached your old passport to your new one.

my trv has expired last year, so if i file a trv in Ottawa and I will renew my passport in the Philippines,
i will or dfa? will just attached that to the new passport?

thanks po! padating na po yan,kasi ung sa akin arw arw ko check tracking nmbr tapos wala,then ng dumating na haus namin tsaka lng appear sa canada post website...sa october flight ko..air china .. edmonton-manila 1200$ pinakamura na rw un ;D..

i got my trv today! yey!!! sent it july 3 and cpp ottawa received july 5, visa issued july 27,2012....can't wait to have a vacation in the Philippines after 5 long years...

wow mabuhay,so 3 weeks lang talaga sana yung akin padating narin i sent it july 13 mag 3 weeks nung august 3 sana ondaway na,enjoy your vacay have fun.

Hi me_anne08, I sent my TRV application on July 11 (received by CPPO on July 12), and I haven't heard back from them yet. Please do let me know when you get your passport back because our timeline is more or less similar. Thanks

Hi PMPM,

My application was also received by CPP Ottawa on July 9 2012. Unfortunately i still havent received my passport yet. I am starting to get worried cuz its been a month now.

Was your prepaid Xpresspost envelope also 15 x 26 cm instead of 24 x 32 cm as stated on CIC website. I couldnt fit a prepaid envelope of the same size as the envelope i sent my application in. So I sent my application to CPP-Ottawa in a 24 x 32 cm envelope and included a smaller 15 x 26 prepaid envelope (enough to hold a passport and folded papers if necessary). As you can probably tell, i am getting a little paranoid about it!

CPPO received my application on July 19th. I'm still waiting for it.
I'm expecting to receive it at least by Aug 15th or 20th max. Because of the long weekend it may delay a bit more.. Don't forget to post here guys when you receive it. Thanks...
