TRV application from India for a PGWP holder

Hi friends,

My PGWP was issued on Oct 23, 2015.

However, I had to leave Canada without renewing my TRV due to a family emergency. I don't have a valid TRV to return to Canada. For returning to Canada, on which category should I apply for TRV? It will be helpful if anyone could provide more information regarding the matter. I hope there's no problem getting a TRV now.

Don't know what documents do you need exactly for PGWP but what I know is you need to apply for TRV not work permit nor study permit
it basically a visitor like anyone else expect you have to provide copy of your PGWP

Yeah but I'm confused if I should show bank statements to them for proof of funds? My friend in Canada didn't show but here, I'm applying from OUTSIDE Canada like a visitor so not sure?

hey Nevelik,
you do not need to show your bank statement again because you have valid study permit or work permit...
2 years back i had same case ... My trv was expired and I didnt know about that so i travelled via london and by the time i catch new flight to toronto they said me to get valid TRV so I applied online by submitting IMM for TRV , my passport copies, my valid study permit...and shown one letter from College that i am enrolled and i have classes running...thats it

but double check from where you apply every country has different procedure.

i have applied for my work perit on may7th 2015 and it is been approved but still i didnt receive the document but my study permit and TRV both expired. i want to visit india before applying for TRV from canada. so i just want to know can i go india with 3 years PGWP and can i apply for TRV from india? will it be a problem or can i get TRV easily
please help me if someone faced this problem

Hello OP. I am in the same boat as you and would like to get some assistance from you. My PGWP was approved in Dec, 2015. However, due to some emergency I came back to Pakistan without renewing my TRV. I want to renew my TRV now and go back. Please guide me how you did this and what documents/applications forms were required? Thank you.

Just apply for the visitor visa with the paper application as stated online with required docs from checklist.
