Trv application after dependant child sponsorship.

I applied for dependent child sponsorship and sent the physical documents on Nov12.. it looks like it's gonna take more than 6 months.. can I apply for a TRV now? Can I bring my daughter to Canada through TRV and then continue with my dependent child sponsorship
