Hello Guys if I have a Post graduate work permit and if I want to go back home for couple of months. Do I need to apply for TRV? as TRV on my passport has been expired. And also do I need to apply for eTA after I apply for TRV?

You need either an eTA or TRV to return. Which one you need depends on what passport you hold.

TRV. You do not qualify for an eTA unless you also have a US green card.
