Hi fantazee - I'm not too sure what you mean.

Why do you want to file taxes in Canada?

Is your TRV multi-entry and is its expiry date in the future?

What is the expiry date of your work permit?

Thank you, yes my TRV is multi entry and it is valid till 8 th oct 2019. I actually got a PGWP for 3 years and now I am married, soI was in canada till Oct 2018, then got married. So I was wondering if my visa and permit have any restrictions, since I have been out of canada for about 6 months now. And If I wanted to file tax returns for 2018 year, can I still file as a resident?

Are you planning on moving back to Canada? You would have to look at your permit to see if there are conditions or restrictions on it. I believe your TRV is still valid.

As to the tax returns, I'm not sure.

Thank you
Hi

1. If you earned income in Canada during 2018, you should have filed your tax return before 30 April/ 2019
Thank you ....I did file on 30 April 2019....I was confused that...should I file as resident or someone who left canada since I do have a valid Visa running
