TRP with LMIA

Hi Everyone, I have a question regarding TRP with LMIA Application.I had applied for the extension of visitor visa inside Canada which got rejected and then again applied for restoration which also got rejected.My Immigration consultant has suggested to apply for TRP with work permit.I have a query that what are the chances of getting TRP visa with LMIA.Is it worth to apply as it is a paper based application so it might can take upto a year ? What are the chances of getting TRP with work permit?

I don't think any of us can tell you what the chances are of getting a TRP approved. Results are very individual to each case.

If you have a TRP application in progress, to the best of my knowledge, you can still be removed from Canada if CBSA chooses to pursue that option.

IRCC seems to be sending a clear message. Getting an LMIA or WP approved may be very difficult given the higher unemployment rate. Is this a high skilled job? Birth tourism does not guarantee that parents can remain in Canada. Has your child received their visa to enter your home country?

OP is probably still waiting for the TRP to be processed. A number of people on this forum from early 2020 are still waiting on their TRPs. Processing is unfortunately taking forever right now.

Hey Ck_221 Can you please share your experience I'm going through the same process I got my AOR June 2023 I just wanted to know how long it took to get an answer in these cases. Thank you in advance.

TRPs are generally taking two years to process these days.
