Hi everyone,

My partner and I recently purchased flights to Canada (MY FIRST TIME YAY) in September, upon researching traveling I noticed DUI's is classed as a criminal conviction.
I received a DUI 6 years ago and are now attempting to apply for a TRP.

I'm worried my application will not be processed by September. :(
Is there an average processing time on TRPS?

Thanks from a worried Aussie traveller.

Is there a reason why you are applying for a TRP rather than rehabilitation? Has five years passed since you completed or paid any penalty or fine associated with the DUI?

I have read that a TRP is a quicker solution than rehabilitation.

I have emailed the Sydney consulate and their reply was fill out a 'Application for Crimnal Rehabilation' but to tick 'For information only'. But provide national police check, passport photo, proof of fine/sentence and my purpose for travel.

I have read on another forum post this was to also their way to apply for a TRP.

A part of me thinks this may only be for an assessment whether I'm able to apply for a TRP or rehab

Hi,

Did you end up getting your criminal rehabilitation trough the Sydney office?

What was the adress you sent the document to?

Thanks
