Hello,

I, my husband and my elder daughter r landed PR. I had to come back to my country Bangladesh to finish my graduation as only 3 semesters were left. Meanwhile i got pregnant w my second child and due to medical complicacy i was advised not to fly. We wrote to visa office, they just sent a generic reply . Then we asked the lawyer who processed our PR application. He was not our lawyer anymore. He replied when the baby was born just apply for TRV. We did so, but got refused. So my husband who is the primary applicant got back to Canada to sponsor our child and he applied in 20th June, 2011 and CPCM received it in 22nd June 2011 and got approval in Aug 9, 2011.

Its been 5 months Singapore VO received our application as its showing application received from Sep 2011, still no sign of going to in process. And my husband is away from us for 9 months. I m not going to describe how painful that is for us cos i knw here we ll r sufferers.

So my questions are:

1. can i apply for TRP (Temporary Resident Permit?)

2. can i do case specific enquiry? ll it delay the process??

Plz plz reply anyone. ll appriciate ur suggestions...Thank u

Hi Tamanna,
I was just thinking about you before reading this email. For child there is no background or security clearence. So this should not take too much time. Singapore processed 20% cases less than 6 months. Have you sent any email to singapore? May be singapore requested some additional documents and you missed the mail. Ecase is not very reliable. There are so many people whose status never went to in process. They already landed. So don't worry.
My suggestion send an email to singapore asking whether they sent any document request or not. Also metion in the email that you are in very hard situation with two kids. I hope you will get a reply.

Hello Amy,

haha...i always think the same too...:)...its true they process 20% of the cases within 6 months but what if i fall in those 80%...:(...i did a general enquiry and they did tell me to do case specific enquiry...but its written that this may delay the process....so thinking whether i should take the risk or not???...also i m not the primary applicant n also not the sponsor..so i dont have the right to do case specific enquiry. My husband is thinking that if nothing happens by feb he is going to do case specific enquiry.

just going mad with this whole situation..i knw i dont ve to describe...u r suffering more than me...cannot thinking of being apart from my children and u r doing so...its must be very very painful...lets hope everything ll be sort out soon...ll let u know if something happens...stay in touch...and plz pray :)

You can apply for a TRP for your baby and your husband can go and talk to his MP and ask if he is willing to push your case.

Think about that for a second. An MP of Canada can influence Canada immigration. An MP of Bangladesh can influence Bangladesh immigration. You are trying to go to Canada, right? :)
