Trouble with Timing

Hi,

I'm currently an American citizen working temporary in Canada, and I will soon apply for PR! Towards the end of August, I will be able to get a letter from my employer in Canada since I will have worked there for one year. I'm confident about certain parts of my application - the CRS calculator says I'll have 482 points, and I already have my language test and WEC stuff taken care of earlier this year. But I have a few worries and questions:

1. My Working Holiday Visa expires in the middle of September. In other words, only a few weeks after being able to say I've had a year of skilled experience. Once I've created an application, will I be able to extend my work permit until I hear from CIC? I think I have to bridge my open work permit, will I be able to do this in this instance? Can I do this at the same site I apply for EE?

2. I see that the last draw for EE was very recently, so it seems if I apply in August I'll be waiting quite a while for an ITA, which makes planning things like sending the FBI police check and scheduling a medical exam tricky. Is there a good way to get an idea of when the next draw will be? Is there a regular schedule for them?

Thanks all, and good luck to everyone :)

Oh, wow. I don't know where I got that misconception from, thanks for clearing that up!
