I'm a UK citizen who works remotely. Last year I entered Canada (Vancouver) at the start of July to take advantage of Canada's willingness to let people work within their borders as long as they aren't paid in Canadian dollars or working for a Canadian company. At the time it was my intention to stay until the end of September before going to Costa Rica. This was what I told the immigration agent, and I had the outward flight booked.
However, I instead decided to stay the full six months allowed. This was mostly because I was thinking of trying to extend so I could do some skiing, but a slipped disc put paid to that idea, and I left on New Year's Eve.
I'd now love to go back for June, July, and August to enjoy the summer season. I'm a keen hiker, and I now have enough money to do some other activities. However, I'm wondering whether they might not look kindly on me returning so soon. I have a new passport now, but maybe they'll see how long I stayed last time and not want to let me in again, even if I can show that I have plenty of money saved up and coming in. I really want to book some tours early, but I don't know if that's a good idea since I might not even get in. On the other hand, maybe having those bookings would show that I was there as a tourist?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
