I'm currently in India and I've received instructions to send complete application by 11-Sep.
My application will be complete by mid June as my IELTS is scheduled for May 30.

Now, the troubl is that I need to travel to US on official work for 4-6 months on Jun 1st. I'll complete my application and someone will insert the IELTS result in there for me and courier it to CHC ND.

But, post this step, if they ask for "passports within 15 days" while i'm in the US, then what to do? Can I request them that my address has changed so kindly let me get the stamping done in Buffalo?

Even if I chose to wait for the last day, my PCC expires in Aug, so the situation will still be valid...

what's the best thing to do? show me the light guys!!!

I am not sure how accustomed you are with the immigration officials but most of them are in a habit of applying the principle of 'right now, right here' to everything. So if you receive your passport request in India and you are away, then you have to choose between staying for work/career in the US or taking the next flight home to send off your passport to Canadian HC in India - I'm afraid.

No, you cannot change the visa post for stamping. You need to go back and stamp your visa in India where you applied. You cannot send passport to/from india via courier because it is against Indian Laws - only solution is to go back or send the passports with someone and ask them to bring it back to you in US.

I heard that they usually gives 3 months for visa stamping.

I would send a fax to them from US stating the situation and request an extention.
Also fax the entry date in US stamped on your passport.
I'm sure they would consider.

Try coming back from US on a leave.I am sure your organization must be giving some leave while you are in US :)

I would avoid getting/asking for any changes at this stage

Best of Luck!

Naveen,

i don't think we can get the visa stamped in person in CHC ND. from what i hear, it takes 2 couple of months for the stamping after the passports are couriered.

No company would be willing to give a leave for 2 months... i'm kind of in a fix.

maybe, my wife will come back for some time and bring our passports for stamping..

can I have some more opinion from seniors??? PMM, BCGuy.. anyone???

You already have the solution and it is the only solution if you cannot go back. Send your wife with all passports and tell her to bring it back to you. There is no other way.
