Trouble Computing for IELTS CLB/CRS Computation

Hi all,

I found an old thread of somebody asking for CLB equivalents of the IELTS score but I'm struggling to compute for my score. I recently took the IELTS because the first one has expired exactly the day before getting our ITA.

Anyway, I am the wife of PA and some of my scores now are lower than the first IELTS that we used for EE. I'm scared that it will affect our points. Please help me compute!

On our EE profile, the CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency is 18.

Old IELTS scores were:
Listening - 8.5
Reading - 8.5
Writing - 6.0
Speaking - 8.5

New IELTS scores are:
Listening - 8.5
Reading - 7.0
Writing - 7.0
Speaking - 8.0

I'm so scared that my new scores will drastically change the small points I am contributing to our application. I'd like to figure out what the new CRS would be. Would appreciate your help!

Well well well.... Looks like you have actually increased the total CRS by 2 points now. Your total score for IELTS is now 20 with a CLB 9.

I think, with new IELTS it should be 7.5

The overall band has no significance in Express Entry.

Yes, that is my new overall score now. So sad, I had 8.0 before.

Don't be sad, even thought you have lower overall score than before, your score will increase a bit because you have scored well in writing.
