Hi All,

Me & my spouse got our PR on Jan 2017 and applied for our PR Card. I have got my PR Card last week and for my wife it was sent to an incorrect address on the file. We have reported to CIC and they have asked us to wait for 6 more weeks(March 31st) to reapply for the PR card.

We are travelling to US via rental car this weekend. Can my wife re-enter Canada without PR card. She has the valid COPR which was issue on Jan 4th. She does not work in Canada but has her DL, Health card and lease agreement.

Please let us know if rental car is considered as Private vehicle and also let us know if there will be any hassle during the border crossing or it is still valid to re-enter Canada with COPR.

Will there be any other complication in our travel.

Please help. Quick response will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, she can use her COPR. Yes, a rental car is considered as "private transportation". You should not have any significant issues.
