Hello!
A bit of background, I 'landed' in 2009, however returned to the UK after 3 weeks as I decided it was better for me to complete my studies in England. I returned to Canada in September last year. By the time my residency expires in November, I will have only been in the country for around 380 days. Please note that nobody seemed to bat an eye when I arrived back in Canada in 2013, and when I went to collect my goods at the border agency, the agent did not report the fact that I had such an extensive spell outside of the country.
I have been trawling this forum extensively (I can never get through to speak to anyone at CIC) and noticed that, so long as I stay in the country for 730 days and avoid immigration, I will not risk being removed due to not meeting the residency requirement. BUT, am I safe travelling within the country via airplane? My boyfriend and I are planning a trip from Edmonton to Toronto, but I don't want to risk getting thrown out of the country. I'd rather stay here than return home. Any help is much appreciated.
