Travelling while waiting for P1/P2 email and eCOPR

Hi,

I'm an inland CEC applicant. I can see the COPR no. on my application status tracker since Dec 4, 2023. I understand the next step is getting portal 1 email. It seems that can take a few weeks or even a couple of months.

Can I travel outside of Canada for 2-3 weeks while I wait for the portal emails and then ecopr? I am currently on BOWP valid till Oct '25 and my TRV is valid till 2027.

Any inputs will be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes you can travel, no problem. If you get portal 1 while outside of Canada, simply reply with the relevant info and tell them what is your return date. They would pause until you return. When you get back send another email to the portal 1 email address and let them know you are back in the country. Sometime after they should send you portal 2.

May I ask that what you replied to the P1 email and did you get another email after you return back
