Travelling to home country & re-entry to Canada with study permit photocopy !!

Hey all,
I will be travelling to mu country and be back within a week.
How ever, my study permit is with CIC for amendement and its with them for over 4 months !!

Will they ask for original study permit during re-entry ?
I have valid visa....will it be a problem ??

It's a pretty bad idea in my opinion. When you come back they will probably ask for the study permit...

I have the photocopy !

I spoke to CIC agent, and they they told me to tell the officer that it is with CIC and officer can check in his system.
Agent also gave his agent ID in case there is a problem !

He assured me, but am still worried

I was once entered Canada without my study permit ( at the US-Canada border) at that time my study permit was at home in Canada
I didn't realize that until the officer at the port of entry asked me for my SP
I told him I forget it home and he asked me few question and conclude it by saying I will let you in because I believe you had a SP

I got in with no problem, but it is up to the officer you face at the POE !
