Travelling to Canada from US by air with a SEALED MISDEMEANOUR Convict

Hi

Wanted to find out for a friend.

He wanted to know if he can travel to Canada by air from USA while he has a Cleared or Sealed Misdemeanor offence that was committed 2 years ago in US (possession of underage alcohol in university). Anyone has any experience? The friend recently left US and entered again, he was asked few extra questions but wasn't denied entry as it was cleared.

But this refers to DUI which is a different type of crime and is taken seriously in Canada.
