As per some websites it states you have a grace period of 90 days to use Indian passport to enter india while holding another citizenship. Can someone confirm if this is true? And does it cause any issue leaving India when you don’t have a entry stamp on Canadian passport?

Alternative approach is to enter Canada via USA(holding valid B1/B2). Leave Canada and enter india using Indian passport leave india with Indian passport and valid USA visa. Enter USA with Canadian passport and leave USA with Canadian passport.

I can answer the first part. Grace period 3 months allowed after you have taken oath and you can travel between that 3 months to india and will not invite penalty. Then you can surrender your indian passport and If you are returning back after 3 months then you will need exit visa & canadian passport to leave india & come to canada.

Is the answer with personal experience? If so when was it? I’m still getting conflicting response where it says to leave india you must have a stamp on Canadian passport or need exit visa and surrender certificate which can take 45 days. I only plan to stay in india for 20 days and return before 3 months from oath ceremony

There is no personal experience. I am saying based on youtube video from canada tried and tested. He is sharing recent experiences of the people traveling with both passport. As per what he shared, surrender visa took 4 hours to get it & exit visa couple of days.
