Hi,

I am planning to travel to my home country next month. I have study permit until December. However my 2nd year program is starting from sep 11 and i am planning to apply for my study permit extension before i leave.

Will i be denied entry inside Canada when i come back?

Thanks,

Hi,

I am extending my study permit for another year! But my 1st year study permit was given until dec 17. So will be applying for study permit extension for my 2nd program this month as my program starts on 11 sep 17. I am planning to go to my home country on 15 sep and return on 29 sep.

Will i be allowed inside canada?

Thanks,

Do you have a valid visa. ??? Study Permit is separate than Visa... and Visa is required to cross the borders. Answer this and hopefully someone could answer your intial query.

yes u can then come in until ur visa expires on dec 31st. u applied for extension for study permit after getting study permit u will also need to apply for new visa if u wish to travel outside Canada. u cannot travel on a study permit other than from US.

Even travelling from US would require you to have valid Canadian TRV (considering you are student permit holder not PR or Canadian citizen)... sometimes, very rare, they might allow you to enter Canada by road without visa but I doubt that's still doable. i will never try that.

nope if ur going to US and coming back u dont need a visa
"You’ll need a valid visa and a valid study permit to return to Canada to study. You don’t need a valid visa if you return directly from a visit only to the United States or St. Pierre and Miquelon."
