I have a question concerning traveling to Canada with only the visa stamp. I just got my Passport with the visa stamp (CR1 visa for US spouse ) and i want to go to Canada as soon as I go to the US because my wife just got a job there (4months contract ).can I travel to Canada immediately after I go to the US or I have to wait for my green card ?
Thank you in advance !

Your query is not clear. It seems that you are making the assumption that you can go to Canada just on the basis of being a US permanent resident. That is not the case. You will have to apply for a Canadian TRV.

According CIC site Citizens from Morocco in actual possession of a Green Card do not need a visa to visit but will need an ETA at some point if travelling by air. So until the OP gets the actual green card assigned they need a visa to visit not work but after not http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
As per the current requirement, US Green card holders do not require visitor visa to come to Canada.

The stamp on your passport is currently your green card and you can go to Canada just showing that. The officer can ask you certain questions, but as per the law, the stamp on your passport is your green card unless you get the green card in mail.

The officer may deny you entry as you won't have any ties to USA (as your wife would be in Canada). It's best to cross the border with your wife just for a visit to Canada.

Hope this helps!!

Thank you for your responds.
Yes that what I heard that I do not need a visa, but as U said we r planning to go together (me and my wife) by car so that way they do not deny my entry to Canada. I hope it works.
