Hello guys,
My son was born outside Canada and, unlike the rest of the family, didn't have a PR. I applied to sponsor him about 2 months ago. I was informed that the processing time is about 12 months. So, we applied for a visitor visa in the meantime, which was approved. We arranged for his travel to Canada, with the rest of my family, and they are booked for a flight two days from now.
Now, I just received an email from the VO asking for the bio page and data for my son. Based on my experience, this is the last stages of issuing the immigration visa.
So, my questions is what would happen if my son arrives Canada before getting his immigration visa? Is it easy to change the status of his application from within Canada? In general, what is the best thing to do in this situation?
Help is greatly appreciated
