Travel without PR Card

Hi,

I am stuck in India since 7+ months and still waiting for PR Card as well as decision on PRTD application submitted at IRCC.COVIDPRTD-TVRPCOVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Prior to PR my status was work permit with TRV valid till March 2023.

I have below questions:

1. Can i board flight from India based on my Work Visa and seek entry at border by showing all the valid documentation?

2. Is it possible to track PRTD application online? I don't get any response on followups sent at same email id and don't have any tracking number.

1. Most likely your TRV / work permit were automatically canceled in the system when you became a PR.You can try boarding the airplane and see if there's a chance your TRV is still valid. However be prepared for the high possibility you will be turned away by the airline.
2. I'm not aware of a way to track status.
