Am I mailed the COPR package separately by my home country's VO or should I expect it with my passport?

Yes, I assumed you previously mailed your passport to your visa office. Visa office will mail you back your passport with the PR visa inside, and your COPR documents. I believe everything is sent in a single package, and could take a couple weeks to receive after getting DM.
This all needs to then be used for your PR landing to activate your PR status.

Perfect! According to the tracking number on my return courier label, my passport should be here today so fingers crossed!

Unfortunately you will most likely be waiting quite a while. If you just got OWP from your inland application 4 months after submitting your app... that means you have another 23 months to wait until you get PR based on current inland processing times.

Yep, Rob_TO's right.

Since you only submitted your Inland application (and OWP) this past July, you won't have your PR for another 2 years (approximately). Maybe your friends and family can come to Canada while you wait...and wait...and wait some more.

Then once you land and become a PR, you will need to wait up to 2 months before receiving your PR card in the mail.

Just an FYI.....We landed on Saturday and the CBSA officer told us, despite what they say and according to his database, the current wait for PR card is about 18 weeks........

Very bad advice.
Travel document is for someone who is already a PR so doesn't apply here.
Someone just applying for PR would need a valid TRV in order to re-enter Canada if they left. This can only be obtained by a visa office outside Canada. If an inland applicant leaves Canada and then there's a complication getting the TRV and they are unable to return, the inland app is cancelled.
