I currently have an indian passport with a US work visa stamped on it. Can I travel back to the US soon after the oath in Canada? What should I tell the US immigration at the border? I am planning to fly back to the US. Also, in a couple weeks I plan to travel to Barbados from the US which accepts visitors with an Indian passport. I would not have surrendered my Indian passport by then so can I use it to travel to Barbados? I read that the indian passport is valid for travel for a grace period of 3 months after taking citizenship of another country? Is it valid for travel only to India or to any other country?

Many members have posted about a three month grace period, but I have never read any posts about anyone who has claimed to use it and knowing Indian bureaucracy, I would not have used it, unless it was a life changing travel. With in-person oath, you can walk out with your certificate and then passport in the next 48 hours so it isn't that complicated.
As always state the facts with the authorities unless you want to get your Canadian passport made in the US.
