Hi all,

I was thinking of traveling to Canada as a tourist (UK is visa exempt) and mailing my passport for visa stamping from Canada to New York.

Has anyone does this? Is it allowed? Do I need to tell immigration officer at the airport what I am up to?

Please Help.

We did travel to Canada on visit visa twice, in 2005 and 2006, during the process. We did not talk to any one at the Toronto airport about the immigration process and no one asked abou it. My wife and me just finished our visits and returned to the country where we were employed.

you can always visit Canada while youre applied for a PR
I'd recommend you not to dislodge your passport from the city where youre living now.

Toronto136,
I dont see any problems with you visiting Canada before you migrate
We visited 3times before we got our Immigrant Visa!and all the while
our application was still being processed and was never refused entry.
Best of luck
